Explain the sensory systems necessary for balance. 6. Identify the important developmental motor milestones/accomplishments in the infant, toddler, and child. 7. Discuss the importance of using positioning and handling as intervention when treating children with neurological deficits. 8. List handling tips that can be used for children with neurological deficits. 9. Apply positioning techniques for function in a pediatric case study. 10. Recognize the clinical manifestations and associated deficits seen in children with cerebral palsy. 11. Apply physical therapy management of children with CP throughout the life span. 12. Explain the incidence, etiology, and clinical manifestations of myelomeningocele. 13. Choose appropriate treatment for the child with myelomeningocele, and genetic disorders such as Down Syndrome, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, and others. 14. Explain the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation patterns, and rationale for using PNF in neurorehab. 15. Identify common complications seen in patients S/P CVA. 16. Apply appropriate physical therapy treatment interventions for patients who have experienced a stroke in specific case studies. 17. Identify causes of traumatic brain injury and determine physical therapy treatment intervention to improve functional and cognitive deficits. 18. Recall causes and complications of spinal cord injury. 19. Identify segmental level of muscle innervation and be able to relate it to level of function in the patient with spinal cord injury. 20. Develop an appropriate treatment program for the patient with spinal cord injury. 21. Recall the incidence, etiology and clinical manifestations of Parkinsons, MS, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and postpolio syndrome. 22. Identify specific treatment interventions for all degrees or stages of progression for Parkinsons, MS, Gillain-Barre, ALS, and postpolio syndrome.

This course was a good review of Neuroanatomy and a very good course for beginning Neuro Rehab. Since it was listed as a "Beginner/Intermediate" course, I did expect a little more in depth treatment techniques so that was a little disappointing, however, I still felt that it provided me with a good review of Neuro PT with ideas that I can immediately put into practice.
