arrow How soon will I receive the course after I order?

The course(s) are processed within 1 to 2 business days from when the order is received. Courses are shipped via First Class, US Priority Mail or UPS. The courses will arrive in 3 to 7 business days depending on the delivery location. If you order an email course, the course will be emailed the same day as purchased.


International orders: All mail orders are sent via air mail. An additional $45.00 fee for delivery outside the United States is added to the course shipping fee to cover the mailing costs. No handling fee is assessed on your order for online, email or eBook courses. Orders to Canada take 10 to 14 days due to strict customs inspections. Orders to other countries take from 10 to 17 days for delivery.

arrow Is next day delivery available?

The courses can be sent via UPS for delivery on the next business day after your order is processed. Saturday delivery requires special handling and is not available in all areas. There is an extra charge of $45.00 for overnight delivery. Example: An order is placed on Monday, shipped via UPS on Tuesday, and you receive the order on Wednesday.

arrow How will I know you received my order?

If you placed an order online, you will receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, your order did not go through. The only way to know if we received your fax is to call us at 1-866-257-1074.

arrow May two people order one course and take the test?

This option is only available for some courses. These courses are 204, 411, 412, 426, 433, 434a, 438, 441, 470, 626, 635, 684, 810, 812a, 915, 1010, 1501, 1502 and 1503. The charge for the second exam is 50% of the cost of the course. The extra examinations must be ordered at the same time as the course. This service is not available online. Please call 1-866-257-1074 for information.

Discounts for Online Courses: The discount is 10% off for one course, 20% off 2-4 courses and 25% off 5 or more courses.

arrow Should I mail my exam by certified mail - will this speed up the process?

NO - this delays the processing. DO NOT mail examinations by certified mail.


Course Information

arrow What format do you use for your courses?

The courses are books, booklets, eBooks or an online format. The printed materials are designed to fit in a briefcase or file folder so you may use them as a reference at work or home.

arrow How much time do I have to complete the course?


arrow Do you have online or email courses?

ALL courses are available in paper format and can be sent by mail. Some courses are available by email and some are available online. On the order form these are identified in the "Email or Online" column. Online courses are also identified on the home page if you order online. The courses available by email are sent as an attachment to the email in PDF format. With an email attachment, you have the flexibility of printing the course or reading these on your computer at your leisure. The emailed course exam may be completed, printed, and mailed or faxed to us.

arrow How do I obtain a certificate?

After reading the materials, completing the cover sheet, exam and the evaluation in INK, please mail, scan & email or fax the exam, evaluation, and signed cover sheet. Certificates for online courses are emailed to you as soon as you pass the exam.

arrow How quickly do you grade the exams?

FAST. We grade the exam in 1 to 2 business days of receipt and then send the certificate the next business day. We can mail, email, or fax the certificate to you as requested on the cover sheet in the area marked "to receive your certificate provide your address below." For online courses, the certificate is generated and emailed to you as soon as you pass the exam and submit the evaluation.

arrow Do I have to sign the cover sheet?

YES - When you sign the cover sheet, you are certifying that YOU took the examination and you are certifying THE DATE you completed the course. We must have a signature. Please fill out the cover sheet, exam and evaluation in ink. The cover sheet along with the completed exam and evaluation should be faxed to 830-438-4573 or 801-720-8320 or mailed to us at: PTcourses.com, 6308 Circle Oak Drive, Bulverde, TX 78163.

arrow But what if I take a course by email?

The course will arrive as a PDF file attached to your email account. Open the document and save the document on your desktop. You may read the course on your screen or print the course. Complete the course and then: (If you have not already done so) Print the cover sheet, exam and evaluation and complete these in INK. Pencil does not fax well.

arrow How do I enroll in online testing?

 You will automatically be enrolled in the online testing program. You will access the online exams through your personal account on PTcourses.com. There is no charge for enrolling.You are not obligated to take the exam online.


arrow Do I have to take the online course all at once or can I start and then come back at a later time?

You do not have to complete the course at one time. You have access to the course for one year from the date of enrollment. You can read a section take a break and come back as many times as you wish during this one year time period. When returning to the course, go to PTcourses.com, login to your personal account. Your login is your email address and password. IMPORTANT: Your answers will NOT save if you do not complete the entire exam in one sitting. If needed, write down your answers and then enter the answers all at one time.

arrowWant to be an author?
We are always looking for qualified physical and occupational therapists to author our courses. The author must demonstrate academic and clinical experience for the topic and be able to provide a CV that will satisfy approval agencies and state boards stating how the author is qualified to write on the topic. The author must also agree to provide the information required for course approval. This generally includes, author qualifications, a CV, course description and objectives, and a course examination. If you would like to propose a topic, or have already written a course, or have given a presentation that may be converted into a narrative course please send us an email with the proposed topic(s). Authors are paid a royalty for each course sold.


arrow What if I do not pass the exam?

Our company policy is that you make a 70% passing grade on your exam. If you are taking the exam online and do not pass, click the retake exam button. No fee for retakes online. If you submit the exam to our grading department, you will be notified that you did not meet the passing score. You will be allowed one retake with no fee. If you do not meet the passing score on a second attempt, you will be assessed a $20.00 Examination Retake Fee if you want to receive credit for the course.

arrow How do I obtain the author's credentials, objectives and table of contents for a course?

Email us at info@PTcourses.com and provide the course number and your email address and we will email you the information.


Certificates and Approvals

arrow Why does it say, "courses approved" for some states and not others?

Some states have an approval process, some states have no approval process, and some states have reciprocal approval. In states where there is an approval process, an application for the course is submitted to either the state board or state association by PTcourses.com. The state board or state association "approves the course." To say that a course is approved in a non-approval state would be misleading, as there is no approval process. Some state boards have a reciprocal approval. In other words, if the course is approved by another state board, then that course is automatically approved in that state.

arrow Are your courses NATA approved?

We are not currently a NATA approved provider. However, 28 CEUs of our courses may be used as Category D toward your 50 hrs due for NATA certification.

arrow What date do you put on the certificate?

The date on the certificate is the date you write on the cover sheet and certify that you completed the exam.

arrow What happens if I lose my certificate?

Replacement certificates are available for $10 each. Certificates can be replaced by contacting us at 1-866-257-1074.

arrow Do you send certificates to the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy?

We automatically send certificates for those with a mailing address in Canada if the exam is mailed or faxed to us. If the course is taken ONLINE call us at 1-866-257-1074 and let us know that you need a certificate sent to the Alliance. The computer is NOT programmed to automatically send certificates to the Alliance so please let us know and we will send one for you.

arrow How do I record my courses if I decide to file with FSBPT?

If you decide to file your courses with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), you will file your courses under the Continuing Education Activity section. However, if you are filing the Ethics and Jurisprudence course, it will be recorded in the Mandatory Ethics and Jurisprudence section.

arrow May I take a course if I am in one of the states you do not offer courses?

YES. We have many PTs and OTs who take courses from states where we do not specifically offer courses. In this case, the state has a process where the individual therapist may seek approval. You should check with your state board to see what the process is in your own state.

Email Course Discount: A course purchased in an email format by the computer will be discounted $5.00 off the original course price.

eBook Course Discount: A course purchased in an eBook format by the computer will be discounted $15.00 off the original course price.

Can two or more people order on the same form so we may obtain the discounts?
Yes, however, there are two requirements. First, the courses must be shipped to the same address. Second, WE MUST HAVE THE NAME OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AND WHICH COURSE EACH PERSON WILL TAKE. We enter the names in the test database when the courses are ordered so we need each person's name and which course they will take so the correct person obtains credit for the course.

arrow What is your refund policy?


  1. Products purchased in error (for example the incorrect course or quantity) are refunded as soon as PTcourses.com has been notified and as long as the notification occurs prior to shipping.
  2. Once the courses are shipped the courses must be returned (within 30 days) before any refund is processed. A full refund of the course fee will be processed (minus shipping) as long as the materials have not been used and are in their original condition. Return shipping will be at the purchaser's expense. PTcourses.com will not be liable for any claims of non-receipt of merchandise returned to PTcourses.com.
  3. Online courses are NOT refundable once the course has been accessed.
  4. In order to obtain a refund or exchange, you must provide your correct e-mail address, mailing address, phone and credit card information.

At PTcourses.com we recognize that privacy is important. Personal information is collected during the purchase, registration and completion of courses. Cookies are used to collect the answer to each exam question and then score the exam. We may share information with third parties (state physical therapy boards) in limited circumstances, including when complying with legal processes, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services. To protect your privacy we DO NOT share any personal information outside of state physical therapy boards or when directed to by legal authorities. NO information is ever sold or shared with any business outside of PTcourses.com.
